Early Life and Musical Beginnings

Bonus was the eldest son of Pedro Bonus and Maria Mariano. He began his musical journey with lessons from Gregorio de Luna and Guillermo de Luna. His passion and dedication led him to master several stringed instruments, including the violin, cello, and viola. He became proficient enough to substitute for any player in these instruments.

Career and Achievements
</h4>

In 1887, Bonus organized a complete opera company in Pandacan, composed entirely of Tagalog musicians and singers. The company's maiden performance was a success, leading to invitations to perform in Manila. His work in the Manila Cathedral orchestra and various other orchestras established his reputation as a talented musician.
