Early Life and Education
</h4>

Puyat pursued a course in commerce at the <a href="https://kahimyang.com/kauswagan/articles/1188/today-in-philippine-history-june-18-1908-the-university-of-the-philippines-was-established" class="news_link">University of the Philippines</a>, where he excelled and topped his class. Even as a student, he was deeply involved in the intricate operations of finance, capital, production, and management. His academic excellence and business acumen caught the attention of President <a href="https://kahimyang.com/kauswagan/articles/1265/today-in-philippine-history-august-19-1878-manuel-quezon-was-born-in-baler-aurora" class="news_link">Manuel L. Quezon</a>, who appointed him as the dean of the College of Business Administration at the young age of 33.

Business Career
</h4>
<p>
Puyat's skill in managing the family business and his involvement in international trade bodies earned him recognition as the "Business Leader of the Year" in 1948 and the "Civic Leader of the Year" in 1949. He was also honored by the Community Chest of Greater Manila for his outstanding services as one of its founders and first president.
