Early Life and Education

Adelina was born to Eleuterio Cacnio Santos and Virginia Espiritu Galang in Manila. Growing up alongside her sister Priscila, she was enrolled in exclusive schools, reflecting her family's emphasis on education. She completed her primary education at Assumption Convent in Herran, Manila, and her high school education at the College of the Holy Ghost (now the College of the Holy Spirit) in Manila. Her academic journey continued at the <a href="https://kahimyang.com/kauswagan/articles/2891/miguel-de-benavides-credited-as-founder-of-university-of-santo-tomas" class="news_link">University of Santo Tomas</a>, where she pursued a degree in Home Economics and was proclaimed "Miss Education", a testament to her intellectual prowess and leadership potential.

In her youth, Adelina's beauty and grace were evident, as she was chosen as Reina Elena for the Santa Cruz de Mayo pageant in Manila, alongside her sister Priscila. These early experiences shaped her into a confident and community-oriented individual, setting the stage for her future contributions.

Marriage and Family
</h3>

In 1941, Adelina married Isidro Rodriguez, a prominent figure who served as a softball official and former Governor of <a href="https://kahimyang.com/articles/3176/the-history-of-rizal-province" class="news_link">Rizal province</a>. Their marriage connected her to the influential Rodriguez family, which included Senator <a href="https://kahimyang.com/kauswagan/articles/1729/december-9-1964-senator-eulogio-rodriguez-died-in-his-sleep" class="news_link">Eulogio "Amang" Rodriguez Sr</a>. Together, Adelina and Isidro raised ten children, balancing family life with their public roles. Isidro passed away in 1992, but Adelina's strength and dedication to her family and community endured.
