Sentinel of San Bernardino Strait: Palapag's Hidden History of Strategy and Revolt
The municipality of Palapag, officially known in Waray as Bungto san Palapag, occupies a unique and historically critical position in the geography of the Philippines. Located in the northernmost part of Samar Island, Eastern Visayas (Region VIII), the town's fate has historically been determined by its crucial proximity to the San Bernardino Strait.
