This scam has been spreading like wildfire through Facebook because it offers the promise of eliminating the numerous amounts of spam that have populated the site. Everybody wants a spam-free experience when using social networks, but unfortunately, this Wall post isn't going to be the one to fix it.


Facebook has taken action and tried to remove any link where the "Share" button has been replaced. Below is an example of a typical message.

But as you can see in the highlighted pink area below, Facebook has removed the links from the spam message because it didn't say "Like," "Comment" or "Share."

Remember, if it doesn't say "Like," "Comment" or "Share" it's probably a scam. Wouldn't Facebook contact you directly if they needed to verify your account?
