22 PALAPAG BARANGAYS GET KALAHI-CIDSS GRANT FUND FOR COMMUNITY PROJECTS

Tacloban City – In the recent Municipal Inter-Barangay Forum for Participatory Development Planning and Resources Allocation, 22 out of 28 Palapag barangays were prioritized for Kalahi-CIDSS funding. The total grant allocated for this Northern Samar municipality will fund drainage canals, day care centers, bridges and pathways, water systems, and a one-classroom school building.

The 22 barangays are Asum, B. Aquino, Tambangan, Laniwan, Sangay, Osmeña, Simora, Campedico, Bagacay, Mabaras, Magsaysay, Natawo, Matambag, Binay, Nagbobtac, Bangon, Manajao, Nipa, Napo, Monbon, Tinampo and Cabatuan.

Two of the 22 barangays will receive more than a million pesos grant and these are Barangay Binay for their proposed causeway and Barangay Monbon for the planned Monbon Bridge.
