Sara began her educational journey at San Pedro College, initially with aspirations of a medical career. However, her path soon veered toward law and public service. She first enrolled in law at <a href="https://kahimyang.com/articles/2972/the-arrival-of-benedictine-monks-on-september-12-1895-the-historical-journey-of-san-beda-university" class="news_link">San Beda College</a>, but later transferred to San Sebastian College - Recoletos, where she successfully completed her studies in May 2005. In the same year, Duterte successfully passed the Philippine Bar Examination and subsequently worked as a court attorney at the office of Supreme Court Associate Justice Romeo Callejo Sr.

In 2010, Sara Duterte assumed the role of Mayor of Davao City, following in her father's footsteps. Her leadership style emphasized efficiency, discipline, and community engagement. During her term, she focused on urban development, public safety, and social welfare programs.
