Chinese air intrusion beyond Taiwan’s border

Two Chinese fighter jets reportedly crossed Taiwan’s virtual maritime border on June 29 to intercept a US spy plane, in what seems to be China’s most aggressive challenge to US surveillance flights. The incident marked the first time in more than a decade that Chinese military aircraft have intruded beyond Taiwan’s side of the 180km-wide strait.
