Fronda finished his degree in Agriculture from the University of the Philippines Los Baños in 1919, Master of Science in Animal Husbandry from Cornell University in 1920, and Doctor of Philosophy degree in Poultry Science, also from Cornell University in 1922.
</p>
<p>
Hence, he earned the distinction of being one of the first five people in the world who had a doctorate in poultry science.
</p>
<p>
Dr. Fronda worked extensively on the Cantonese, a breed of chicken imported from Canton, China. For 15 years, he culled, selected and bred the Cantonese to improve the breed.
</p>
<p>
He was also the first Filipino researcher to work on improving duck meat. The ducks he improved were often referred to as "Fronducks," in recognition of his success in breeding them and in producing stocks.
</p>
<p>
Fronda authored textbooks in Poultry Science Production for students in agriculture and also co-authored a series of books for primary and secondary students, titled "Let Us Raise Series." He also produced around 500 articles on the poultry and livestock industry.
</p>
<p>
He died on February 17, 1986 at the age of 89.
</p>
