Anyone who understands this political postulate must logically deny himself the right to participate, meddle or interfere on whatever policy the government may wish to implement, much that their objective is to destroy the status quo. He should forfeit himself the right to question any decision that might serve to re-enforce what the Marxists would term the "superstructure of the system." The policy is intended to apply only to those who adhere to the system and not those subscribing beyond the parameter of what we might say "ideological demarcation". Otherwise, it could earn him the nasty suspicion in what Jose Ma. Sison would say Lavaism or opportunism; or of waging a revolutionary war while engaging in parliamentary struggle. This is exactly what the Left and its accomplices from the hypocritical elite are doing.


As self-proclaimed revolutionaries, they failed to comprehend that their leaders have completely lost track of the rudiments of their ideology. Those who favor the burial of President Ferdinand E. Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani need not argue that he was elected president by a democratic and honest process, served the country with exceptional gallantry and heroism, but must simply state that those who oppose just do not have the right to question the decision of President Rodrigo "Digong" Duterte.


While this government has given the rebels the opportunity to negotiate peace without any pre-condition, they do not have the right to meddle into the affairs of the government they have sworn to destroy. The government has given them much leeway to honor their fallen comrades by giving them a place to erect their monument called "Bantayog ng mga Bayani", which if one would consider, stands as an insult to the memory of our soldiers who died quelling their bloody rebellion.


As they continue to exert all efforts to bootlick the patronage of the yellow oligarchy in deceiving our people about our history, they have descended to become "dreg revolutionaries" fighting an ideology that is in fact engaged in a ghoulish act of barbarism. Desecrating the memory of a dead man is unnatural, especially from one professing to be a revolutionary. The biblical term "laid to rest" means that all must stop badmouthing a dead man. As in court litigation, there is no way he can defend himself. In this case, they are not only dictating who should be our hero but are preventing the government from burying one who was elected President and was a be-medalled soldier in World War II, which a grateful Motherland is obligated to honor a brave son.


They should address their concern to the US government for giving Marcos those medals and citations for bravery, and for having been wounded in action, with one given no less by General Douglas MacArthur, the commander of the US forces in the Pacific. It is not for an obscure soldier, who hounded the Left by serving as an informer of the notorious Congressional Committee on Un-Filipino Activities (CUFA), to say that the medals of Marcos are fake. Up to now, Mrs. Imelda Marcos continues to receive her pension as surviving widow from the US Veterans Board. As we always say, "Ang Amerikano pa, maiisahan mo?"


Bonifacio Gallegos coordinated his malicious slander of Marcos with a Greek expat Steve Psinakis who was married to the daughter of the country's foremost oligarch and political kingpin. It is not for Congressman Edcel Lagman to oppose the burial much that his own brother was murdered in broad daylight by the same people deliriously opposing the hero's burial for President Marcos. It is not for that losing candidate for senator of Bayan Muna Neri Colmenares to file a petition for temporary restraining order because the truth is that he miserably landed at the tail end, effectively debunking his claim of having the support of the people. Rather, his petition only exposed his ignorance of the law. It is not for that soldier Antonio Trillanes IV, a putschist who was jailed for adventurism, and who lost in his ambition to become vice president, to say that Marcos does not deserve a hero's burial.


It is not for the son of a notorious senator, who barreled his way to be chosen as Duterte's running mate, to vigorously oppose the decision of the President which shows utter disrespect. It is not even for the Senate President Koko Pimentel's deference to the party's ministerial head to oppose the decision of the President. Paradoxically, President Duterte's decision to get rid of party-list representation authored by then Aquilino Pimentel Jr. was a slap on his face. His father naively thought his version was far better than the Sectoral Representative under the 1973 Constitution which turned out to be the party of fly-by-night vested interest groups all munching the goodies of their pork barrel. The same can be said of Pimentel's Local Government Code which resulted in the financial ransacking of public funds that even barangay kagawads now enjoy their version of the anomalous pork barrel. Finally, it is not even for the demagogue Leni Robredo, who now styles herself as the country's vice president when everybody knows she is holding on to a bogus mandate.


We are simply asking those who oppose the hero's burial of the former president to ask themselves if they truly have the legitimate right to oppose the decision of President Duterte. To recall, it was no less than Corazon Aquino, who grabbed political power by coup d' etat but deceptively called it "People Power", who allowed a presidential dog to be buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani complete with a tombstone and military honors. Cory Aquino insulted the entire Filipino people because nobody and nobody would idolize a dog as hero or place an animal to the pedestal of hero. This explains why Joma, as if to concur, wryly said that not all who are buried there are heroes.


It was also Cory Aquino who insulted our people by allowing the face of her husband to be printed on our P500-bill despite the fact that it is only reserved to persons who have officially been declared a national hero or served as president. Ninoy Aquino had neither any of those qualifications, except that he was slain at the airport. The two Aquino governments uncannily did not investigate to specifically pinpoint the mastermind for fear it could vindicate Marcos.


If the coagulation between the misguided progressive forces and the corrupt yellow oligarchy are permitted to have their say, that would mean giving them the green light to distort our history without them having to win their revolutionary war. The government would be committing the highest degree of stupidity as when it laid down the foundation of honoring a stooge of the US who committed the greatest political swindle and now idolized as the restorer of our democracy with her abstract promise of freedom and democracy more revered than what a leader has tangibly accomplished to bring about peace, order and prosperity to our people.
