RDIF CEO Kirill Dmitriev said that this is in relation to the projected start of the trials by August or September in coordination with the Department of Health (DOH).

"If we work closely with your health ministry, we can actually make the vaccine available in the Philippines as early as November or December."

Dmitriev assured that proper protocols will still be followed and confirmed by the Philippines' Food and Drug Administration (DFA) to ensure its safety before distribution:

"We are not forcing the vaccine on anyone, we are just letting the world know we believe it's safe because Russia is using it."

He said that Russia used one of its <i>"proven platforms"</i> - the Adenovirus human vector, claiming that its years of use in the country can vouch for its efficacy and safety.
