Two things come to mind.

Why Simora Bridge II ? Where is Simora Bridge I ? We don't know how bridges are named but since it is being named as "II" there must have been already a "I". 


Everybody in the Pacific town knows that there was a "Simora Bridge" project in that same area. Funds of which was moved somewhere else. <a href="http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.144223048957268.27044.143461732366733&type=3" target="_blank" class="news_link" title="Extensive documents about the Simora Bridge" >(See here for a very telling documents about the old Simora Project)</a>. Could it be that funds of the old Simora bridge project did not actually went to another project instead they reported the project as complete and became the "Simora Bridge I" ? And where did the funds went ? It is best left in our imaginations.

The timing is good because an election is to happen within the project planning stage or even more into some actual construction of the project. Politicians in the area will use this bridge (and its funds ?) in their favor, especially by the ones currently in office.

At any rate, them just talking about revisiting the Simora bridge is still good news to the people of the Pacific towns of Northern Samar.
