Early Life and Education
</h4>
<p>
He grew up with seven siblings and was the eldest child in his family. As the eldest, he was raised with a sense of responsibility and, like in many Philippine households, he was also asked to go to the market, scrub the floor, etc. He was the apple of the eye of his grandparents, always being carried on their backs during town processions of every feast.

After completing his high school education at the National Teachers College in Malabon, Dr. Domingo was determined to pursue a career in medicine, a decision that his father wholeheartedly supported. He began his journey in the medical field with a pre-med course at the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman. After three years, he continued his studies at UP Manila, where he enrolled in medical school. Dr. Domingo chose to specialize in internal medicine at the Philippine General Hospital. Furthering his education, he attended Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, where he was a Fellow in Gastroenterology from 1964-1967 and a Brainard Fellow in Preventive Medicine from 1966-1967.
