Quezon who garnered 695,332 votes, run under the banner of the Nacionalista Party won over his rivals the revolutionary President, General <a href="https://kahimyang.com/kauswagan/articles/1028/today-in-philippine-history-march-22-1869-emilio-aguinaldo-was-born-in-kawit-cavite" class="news_link">Emilio Aguinaldo</a> of the National Socialist Party (179,349 votes),  <a href="https://kahimyang.com/kauswagan/articles/1489/today-in-philippine-history-may-5-1860-gregorio-aglipay-was-born-in-batac-ilocos-norte" class="news_link">Gregorio Aglipay</a>, founder and supreme bishop of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente (Philippine Independent Church) running under Republican Party got 148,01 votes and with 158 votes,  Pascual Racuyal running as independent.

<p>
Quezon's running mate, then Senate President Pro Tempore <a href="https://kahimyang.com/kauswagan/articles/1273/today-in-philippine-history-september-9-1878-sergio-osme-a-sr-was-born-in-cebu-city" class="news_link">Sergio Osmeña</a>, 812,352 votes (Nacionalista Party), won as vice president against Raymundo Melliz (70,899	votes) of the National Socialist Party, and with 51,443 votes, Norberto Nabong, Republican Party. 
</p>
